The OscillaMind experience

OscillaMind has three places: Daily Rhythms for your evenings and mornings, Sound Lab for shaping sound, and Moments for right now. Here is what each one does. The pictures are previews from our design prototype, and details may change before launch.

Daily Rhythms

From evening to morning, set up once

A routine runs in stages: a wind-down in the evening, a sleep sound for the night, a gentle wake in the morning, and your alarm. Tonight’s timeline shows each stage with its time, so you can see at a glance what will play and when.

The status line always tells the truth about your wake-up: “Gentle Wake ready · 6:15–6:45”, or the one thing on your phone that would stop it, with a button to fix it.

Gentle Wake

Sound rises slowly over 15 to 30 minutes before your alarm time, then the alarm rings. If you’d rather wake to the alarm alone, turn the rise off.

All night, or off after a while

Choose an overnight mode: keep a soft sound playing until morning, or let it fade out after the time you set. Your wake-up stays set either way.

The sound player

One calm player for everything: what’s playing, its layers, a timer, and a still visualizer when you turn motion off. Every start, stop and change fades smoothly.

From the Night look to the Morning look

At night the app turns near-black and warm, with no bright glow. When you stop the alarm, it fades to the soft cream Morning look over a couple of seconds.

My Routines

Keep a routine for weeknights and another for weekends. Editing a routine saves a new version, so your history always shows what you actually used.

Less Is Better

Curious whether you prefer nights with less sound? Run a short comparison in random order and see your own answers side by side, with their counts.

Sound Lab

Ready to play, or shaped in detail

Start with a sound that’s ready: rain, ocean, brown noise, a soft pad, a plain tone. Then make it yours. Change each layer’s level, add or swap layers, and save the mix under your own name.

For enthusiasts, the detailed controls go further: tone pitch, beat rate and how layers blend, always inside safe listening ranges.

Binaural beats and pulsing tones

A binaural beat plays a slightly different tone in each ear, so it needs stereo headphones. On the phone speaker, OscillaMind plays the beat as a pulsing tone instead, and says so on screen.

Discover My Frequency

Listen to two sounds that look identical, pick the one you prefer, and repeat for a few rounds. Save the result to a routine or as a Moment.

The Frequency Library

35 entries, from Theta · 6 Hz to 528 Hz, each with what it is, what people link with it, what is known, and an evidence label. Explore the frequencies.

Moments

A sound for right now

Moments are ready-made sounds for the next few minutes: 12 of them across Focus, Relax, Meditate, Reset and Energy. Deep Focus pairs brown noise with a 10 Hz beat for long stretches of work. Mindful Breathing is a soft pad and a circle to follow: in for 4, out for 6.

Choose one and it starts. There’s nothing to set up first, and suggestions follow the time of day.

Music Companion

Play alongside your music: OscillaMind keeps its sound under whatever you’re already listening to, and your music keeps its own controls. Some music apps pause when another app plays, so it won’t work with every one.

Headphones and speakers

If your headphones disconnect, the sound fades out and pauses rather than jumping to the speaker. You can choose to keep playing on the speaker in settings.

What it costs, and what stays on your phone

30 days free, then a one-time $2.99 purchase. No subscription. No ads. Your listening history stays on your phone. No account.
